Life

I've really been slacking with writing in my blogs....

- Thanksgiving!
- Family. I love my family ssoooo much. I went home for Thanksgiving and spent 3 days with my family. I'm the second oldest out of 10 children. The youngest is 4. The little ones and I had a lot of fun together. We did some cleaning, cooking, setting up, ran 2 miles, watched movies, hung out with cousins, did a work out video together :) (It was pretty funny watching my younger siblings do a Taebo movie!!) BUT the reason why I'm so thankful for them would have to be...I was checking my e-mail 2 nights ago and I noticed an e-mail for one of my little sisters. It was titled "We Love you!" Che'lynn had gathered all of the little ones together and they wrote an e-mail to me about how much each one loved me and how important I mean to them. It was really touching. I know they love me but this was different! I love them all so much :)

- I'm grateful for the power of music. Music can help bring the Spirit around or drive him away. I've been more careful on what I listen to. I have noticed a difference.

- Reading. Good books are awesome.

- My roommates

- BYU Football game!! Sooo awesome!

- My calling. Employment Specialist.

- A warm house

- Food

- Blankets

- Pride and Prejudice

- Work

- Looking at life from a different perspective

- Freedom

- Good people. I've leaved over the weekend how corrupt Utah really is. It's in the top for child molesting and meth....and many other things... I'm grateful to all the people out there who treat others with the respect we all deserve.

- Horses!! I've really wanted to go riding the last little bit. It's been to long. Horses are such beautiful animals.

- Sense of humor.

- People who get my sense of humor :)

- My parents and their endless love that they have for me.
- Friends who help you up and not bring you down.
- Temples
- Eternal Families
- The power of the Atonement
- Power of prayer and the heaven sent answers
- Trials. They can build us up or bring us down. We get to choose how they effect us.
- Power of good music. Lately I've noticed that most of the songs that come out these days are trashy. They might have awesome beats, but their lyrics are trash.
- The piano
- Socks
- The Book of Mormon and the strength that we can get if we study it daily.

9/10/09

Here are a few quotes that I like...

Decisions Determine Destiny
“I can’t stress too strongly that decisions determine destiny. You can’t make eternal decisions without eternal consequences.” -Thomas S. Monson

Prepared through Adversity for Eternal Life
“With all the differences in our lives, we have at least one challenge in common. We all must deal with adversity. . . . It is in the nature of our being human that comfort gives way to distress, periods of good health come to an end, and misfortunes arrive. . . . The arrival of suffering or the loss of material security can bring fear and sometimes even anger. . . . “The very opportunity for us to face adversity and affliction is part of the evidence of [Heavenly Father and the Savior’s] infinite love. God gave us the gift of living in mortality so that we could be prepared to receive the greatest of all the gifts of God, which is eternal life.”- Henry B. Eyring

~Root Canal- I know this is a weird thing to be grateful for but I am. It's been the most pain I've been in in a long time. I like to think that I have a high tolerance for pain, but this has brought me to tears countless times. The dentist gave me a narcotic to help with the pain, but that did nothing... I've learned a lot from this small trial and I truly am grateful for it.

~A busy day at work :)

~Soft tacos and watching the Swan Princess in Spanish! Trisha and I did this last night. For some reason the songs seemed soooo much more romantic in Spanish than in English...funny... And I don't speak that much Spanish.

~Frozen green beans! I have had a bag of these up to my face pretty much 24/7 since Tuesday morning :)

5. "There may be things in our character, in our behavior, or concerning our spiritual growth about which we need to counsel with Heavenly Father in morning prayer. After expressing appropriate thanks for blessings received, we plead for understanding, direction, and help to do the things we cannot do in our own strength alone." –David A Bednar

I love Wednesdays!

1. A working car: My brakes on my car are going crazy and I’m not looking forward to spending money on it to fix it :S

2. Long bike rides: I’ve been biking to work! It’s awesome! Takes about 20-30 mins to get to work on my bike. 14 miles round trip. It’s all uphill there and all uphill home…or at least that’s what it feels like. It’s good to get some me time and be able to refocus.

3. CTRL- Y. I get CTLR Z happy sometimes and undo too much, CTRL Y fixes that.

4. Temples! I’ve made it a habit to go to the temple once a week, 90% of the time on Wed. It really does give me the extra strength that I need to face the challenges in my life. It also gives me peace. Peace that I love having especially with everything that has happened this year. It’s been one of the best choices of my life.

5. The fact that my hair is growing out again! So, last Nov I chopped 9 inches of hair off. Worst choice ever. I think I hated ever second of it…BUT it’s almost back to its normal length and I’m super excited!!!!

Picnics, Friends, Blue Cookies , and a whole lot more….

~Today is a great day. I have been alive for 8402 days, 725,932,800 seconds, 12,098,880 Mins, 201,648 hours, and 1200 Weeks (rounded down). I'm very grateful for all this time!

~I have a lot to be grateful for today. Let me just say that yesterday probably was the best day ever! Nothing too big or special happened…it was just a super good day.

~One thing that I am very grateful for is my Dad. He is pretty awesome. If you don’t know him, you should get to know him. He has been through a lot in his life and I’m very glad that he has always been there for me and helped me become the person I am today. I love you dad!

~Sight. I don’t really know how I would live if I couldn't’t see. I know some people do it but if I missed all the beauty around me every day, I think I would cry. Eyes are pretty amazing.

~Nature. I love the mountains, I love the flowers, I love the grassy hills. I love the sunsets/sunrises, I love the stars at nights. I love anything and everything having to do with outside! You name it. I love going on walks at night and seeing all the stars. My siblings and I sleep outside every now and then when I go home and we stay up till 2am talking about the stars. I don’t understand how people don’t believe in God when there are beautiful things all around us.

~I’m grateful for Brianne Creer. She is my work best friend forever J She is really cool, Newlywed, 5 months older than me. She has been a real blessing to my life. We always have good talks and I usually walk away from them hearing something that I needed to hear that day. She is the bomb and I’m glad that she is in my life.

Things I'm grateful for today!

~I've been thinking a lot about many things I'm grateful for. One of the big ones would have to be my family. I love them so much and I don't know where I would be today with out them. I'm very grateful for the love and support that they have given me and continue to give me.

~For my job. I have a good job right now and when everyone else is losing their jobs, I have a pretty good one. Just praying that it stays that way.

~Prayer. This is one thing that I am very grateful for. I know I'd be lost without it. Over the last year I've come to learn and know that Heavenly Father is there and that He does listen and answer our prayers. Not always in the way that we want but He does listen and answers our prayers. I love it!

~Food. I'm super happy that we have food! I think of all the people with little or no food and i really think that we really take for granted how important food/nutrition is for our us.

~Good Friends. "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words" "A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself"
I'm very grateful to have friends. I'm grateful for the ones who have always been there for me and have been a blessing to me in times of need and have been there to help me relearn the song of my heart. Or the ones who believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Kind of cheesy but its the truth. I'm grateful for all the friends that I have. They all have touched my life in one way or another. One day I will let you all know.
Thanks
